Who doesn’t love a birthday bash? We think five years of community radio is worth celebrating and we hope you can join us!
If you’re interested in learning more about how a show goes live to air, attend our pre-show live broadcast at 4pm. Join the Midtown crew, including local artists and musicians for a BBQ at 5pm. And, of course, there will be live music! Starting at 7pm we will host an outdoor concert featuring the MacQueens.

Upcoming Events
Grab your tickets now for Green Light Art’s latest show, Izad Etemadi: Let Me Explain. About the show: Through songs, stories, a few re-enactments, and playful audience interaction, Izad takes us on a journey through his world: born in a refugee camp in Germany, moving to Victoria, having his first boy crush, venturing off to Musical Theatre School looking for a gay fantasia, eventually coming out to his parents, and making it in show biz.
Head over to TWB on May 27th (8pm) for the Hot Summer Nights Drag Show ($18).
On June 3rd, check out the Afrovibes On Gaukel Festival, a celebration of African culture taking place on Gaukel St in downtown Kitchener. On Thursdays at 8pm, you can also catch AfroNights hosted by Peter Pearse-Elosia (of the digimillenials) on Midtown Radio.
And visit On The Scene KW for many other events or catch it on Midtown Radio on alternating Thursday evenings at 7:00pm. The new season begins June 1st, or listen to it on demand on Transistor.
